VPS for a website with seasonal traffic spikes
I'm planning to move an online store from shared hosting to a VPS. Traffic is usually moderate, but during seasonal sales and promotional campaigns the number of visitors can increase several times.
I'm considering a VPS with 4 vCPU, 8 GB RAM, and 100 GB NVMe storage. Ideally, I'd like to stay within $30–35 per month.
HostPro.com is one of the providers I've been looking at. Would these resources be enough to handle occasional traffic spikes, or should I prioritize a server with more CPU and memory? I'm also curious how much difference caching makes in this situation.
