Choosing the first VPS for a new project
I’m launching a small SaaS project and keep going back and forth between buying a minimal VPS now and paying for a larger configuration from day one.
My initial budget is around $15–25/month. I’ve looked at hostpro.com and a couple of other providers, but I’m not sure how much headroom I actually need.
The stack will be Docker, a Python backend and PostgreSQL. Would you start with 2 vCPUs and 4 GB RAM and monitor resource usage, or is that cutting it too close for a production environment?
I’d love to hear how others approached this when launching their first project.
