Can you recommend a VPS for WordPress if my site has started to slow down?

I have a WordPress site that currently gets about 30,000–40,000 visitors per month. With regular hosting, I occasionally experience speed drops, especially when traffic spikes. I’m looking at VPS plans on hostpro.com, but I’m not quite sure which configuration to go with. Will 4 GB of RAM be enough for a site like this?
